Plan the machine and its supporting supply
Connect the dialysis equipment requirement to the planned operating schedule, approved consumables and supporting water or concentrate systems. Treat water treatment, distribution and machine supply as related but distinct work packages.
What to include in the buying brief
- Station count
- planned sessions
- machine configuration
- compatible item codes
- water and concentrate supply
- utilities
- spare equipment
- operator and technical training.
Ask for a complete offer
A machine schedule, approved consumable bill of quantities, site requirements and maintenance scope.
Keep the exact model or catalogue reference, purchasing quantity and delivery destination on each line. Compare included accessories, setup tasks and recurring items alongside the headline price. A unit price becomes more useful when the quotation also states the purchasing pack, lead time and the records expected at delivery.
Plan handover and replenishment together
Identify who will receive the equipment or supplies and who will retain the asset, lot or expiry records. For equipment, connect operator training and service responsibilities to the delivered configuration. For routine items, use actual consumption and usable stock to plan the next order.
Dialysis item replenishment provides a transparent worksheet for this planning step.

Your estimate
Adjust the figures for your requirement.
Take the estimate with you
How this estimate is calculated
Sessions = stations × sessions per station per day × operating days. Item need = ceiling(sessions × units per session × (1 + buffer % / 100)). Order packs = ceiling(max(0, need − stock) ÷ units per pack).
Calculate one compatible item code at a time using the consumable list approved for the planned sessions. This does not determine treatment frequency or clinical requirements. Input a separate buffer for the item, and exclude expired or quarantined stock.
Initial figures are an illustrative example. Adjust them to your requirement before discussing a purchase.
