Tender supportPlan by SKU, lot and shelf life
Prepare pharmacy orders using the approved formulary, purchasing unit and item-level consumption history. Keep strengths and presentations separate, and review usable stock and confirmed inbound orders before replenishment.
What to include in the buying brief
- Approved product reference
- strength and presentation
- purchasing pack
- demand in purchasing units
- usable stock
- required remaining shelf life
- storage conditions and delivery destination.
Ask for a complete offer
An item-level offer with pack contents, lot and expiry details and applicable storage information.
Keep the exact model or catalogue reference, purchasing quantity and delivery destination on each line. Compare included accessories, setup tasks and recurring items alongside the headline price. A unit price becomes more useful when the quotation also states the purchasing pack, lead time and the records expected at delivery.
Plan handover and replenishment together
Identify who will receive the equipment or supplies and who will retain the asset, lot or expiry records. For equipment, connect operator training and service responsibilities to the delivered configuration. For routine items, use actual consumption and usable stock to plan the next order.
Expiry-aware pharmacy replenishment provides a transparent worksheet for this planning step.

Your estimate
Adjust the figures for your requirement.
Take the estimate with you
How this estimate is calculated
Target units = monthly demand × (review cover + safety cover). Stock-target packs = ceiling(max(0, target − on-hand − inbound) ÷ pack units). Expiry capacity = floor(max(0, monthly demand × shelf-life months − on-hand − inbound) ÷ pack units). Order = minimum of the two pack counts.
Use one SKU and purchasing unit, not doses. Shelf-life months apply to the proposed new lot. The conservative expiry model assumes existing and inbound stock are consumed first and demand is constant; batch-specific expiry and FEFO allocation need a separate lot review.
Initial figures are an illustrative example. Adjust them to your requirement before discussing a purchase.
